New λPrize: LP-0001, NFT Wallet Support and Private Ownership Proof ($5,000)

e’re opening LP-0001: NFT Wallet Support and Private Ownership Proof, the next of the Logos wallet prizes. It brings NFTs to LEZ wallets, and with them something most chains can’t offer: proving you belong to a community without revealing who you are.

The problem

Token-gating is everywhere: allowlists, governance votes, members-only channels. But on most chains it means revealing exactly which token you hold. You sign a message that exposes your wallet address and the specific NFT, which links your on-chain identity across every app that checks it.

LEZ’s shielded execution model can close that gap, but only if a wallet actually lets users and dApps generate private proofs of ownership. LP-0021 deliberately left NFTs out of its criteria to keep its scope to a fungible-asset wallet. LP-0001 fills that gap.

What we’re looking for

A LEZ wallet and Wallet Provider SDK matching the criteria in LP-0021, extended to non-fungible assets, plus a private way to prove collection membership: proving you hold some NFT from a collection without disclosing which one, or which account holds it.

  • Own, send, and receive NFTs from both public and private accounts, with private-to-private transfers that reveal no sender→recipient link on-chain
  • NFTs listed per account and grouped by collection, with metadata and media on Logos Storage; any fetching from centralised hosts is disclosed and can be turned off
  • SDK APIs so dApps can enumerate NFTs, query collection membership, and propose NFT transfers through the same approval flow as fungible assets
  • Private membership proofs, verifiable both on-chain by a LEZ program and off-chain in application code, with replay resistance and a documented validity window
  • Proof requests that stand alone: a dApp can ask for a proof without getting account access, and the user sees exactly what the proof reveals before approving
  • A token-gating mini-app demonstrating the full connect → approval → proof flow, consumed both on-chain and in app code
  • Basecamp app GUI and CLI, running end-to-end against Logos testnet 0.3 (https://testnet.lez.logos.co)

The aim: a dApp developer adds private token-gating while focusing on their application logic, rather than diving into the NFT program and its proof system.

Teams who submitted to LP-0021 can build on their submission. A different team, or a new codebase, is equally welcome.

Adoption criteria

Like LP-0021 and LP-0023, this prize is judged on real use as well as the build:

  • 5 NFT collections deployed on LEZ testnet by people independent of the submitting team, held and displayed correctly in the wallet
  • 3 independent third-party developers each publish a Basecamp app that uses the NFT or membership-proof SDK
  • 100 on-chain gated actions through the token-gating mini-app, from at least 100 distinct accounts
  • Spread over at least 2 months, with at least 20 each month (no single burst)
  • 20 testimonials on Discord and 20 on Twitter/X describing real use of the NFT or private token-gating features
  • For submissions that don’t continue the LP-0021 winning wallet: 50 on-chain testimonials through the LP-0021 testimonial mini-app

The two-month window means you can’t finish the build first and chase adoption afterwards. Release early, get the wallet into people’s hands, and keep building as usage grows.

Talking with potential users is part of the work, and it doesn’t stop after launch day. Builders, keep coming back to this thread throughout the build: share previews, ask what’s missing, and let the feedback shape what you build.

Details

  • Total prize: $5,000
  • Effort: Medium
  • Evaluation: first-come-first-served against all success criteria; the first submission to meet everything wins
  • Full spec: prizes/LP-0001.md

Users: what would you gate behind a private membership proof? A members-only chat, a vote, an event? Tell us below.
Collection creators: thinking of launching an NFT collection on LEZ? Say so here; independent collections are part of what this prize needs.
Builders: if you’re working toward LP-0001, or planning a Basecamp app on top of the NFT SDK, post your progress in this thread and keep checking in with users as you go.
