Forum Feedback: New Categories?

Hey everyone, just thinking about how to organise this forum for better navigation and also to reflect our new efforts to onboard external contributors.

Therefore I am proposing to create a IRL category to have our different meetups and upcoming events in Lisbon etc.

Anything else you would like to see? Or feedback in general?

my personal opinion have categories titled after physical spaces/buildings/etc instead of topics. We’re using this approach to restructure the waku discord and it could be beneficial if it’s implemented across our platforms!

report from claude:

Scientific evidence overwhelmingly supports restructuring Discord servers using mnemotechnics and spatial cognition principles. The method of loci demonstrates 100-138% improvements in memory capacity, while spatial metaphors in digital interfaces reduce navigation errors by 15-30% and improve task completion by 20-40%. These findings provide robust justification for consolidating channels, implementing spatial naming conventions, and encouraging public communication to optimize community knowledge sharing and reduce cognitive load.

Super interesting - any reading to go further in the topic? Not sure if having a Lisbon Circle category is warranted on based on the amount of content we will generate, but it can branch out as needed. I was thinking Meetups as a globally understandable high level concept, then breaking it down and branch out as necessary.

Will be checking that Waku change and learned lessons! The Logos discord for now is working as intended, green sprouts all around

I would love to see the multitude of forums consolidated, if possible.

Currently we have discuss.status.app, forum.logos.co, and forum.vac.dev.

It probably makes sense to leave all three as independent entities, perhaps we need better communication about which Forum to post in depending on what the topic is?

It is generally confusing even for CCs to choose which forum to post in (aside from VAC Forum as it is the default technical forum).

We discussed consolidating the technical Vac forum with this one, but it was disregarded for the potential of creating too much noise for developers and technical people. Perhaps we should revisit? Care to probe? I would love to have both happening in parallel to be honest - technology and humans unite.
