Who’s read the latest Logos Press Engine article, ‘Obsessed with Archives’?

Influential cypherpunk thinker Peter Ludlow and Logos co-founder Jarrad Hope explore the ideas of 17th-century philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. Leibniz understood the importance of immutable records for good governance. Ludlow and Hope expand upon his ideas in this article, arguing that Leibniz would be particularly impressed by blockchain technology and its application as a medium for archiving.

Jarrad and Peter are currently working on several more articles that are taken from a forthcoming, co-authored book. We’ll be publishing the next one on the LPE very soon.

What are your thoughts on ‘Obsessed with Archives’? Do you agree that a platform like Codex would make a good permanent archive for the historical records of emerging network states?

We just published another brilliant piece of writing by Peter and Jarrad on Logos Press Engine!

From the Stepped Reckoner to Smart Contracts’ explores the impact immutable ledgers and on-chain computation can have on human governance. With automated and transparent systems, we can significantly reduce human error, greed, and corruption from our governance processes. This one is also taken from the authors’ upcoming book. (Details coming soonish)

Let us know your thoughts on leveraging smart contracts to improve governance if you please!

Here’s a ‘Stepped Reckoner’ too.
