Headline: a member talk from John McCone, “The Cultural Aspect of Producing Actual Governance From Records.”
The theme: governance is the human response to records, not the protocol underneath. For day-to-day governance, only record content matters; decentralisation earns its place only against outside attack and administrator betrayal. And for governance to mean anything, the thing governed has to matter: food and shelter. A DAO whose members still need a bank account to eat isn’t sovereign. His conclusion: self-sufficient intentional communities are the most realistically achievable governance application of Logos right now (TDF, Closer Earth, Montelibro being the few live-ish examples).
John also floated a funding proposal involving TDF and a Logos migration. That’s his personal proposal - not a Logos position, and not financial advice.
