In July 2026, the Logos Khartoum Circle held a community meetup focused on identifying and discussing winnable issues affecting residents of Khartoum.
The meetup brought together approximately 25 participants who shared their experiences and perspectives on some of the most pressing challenges within the city. The discussion focused on identifying issues that are practical, measurable, and achievable through community-led action.
Following the meetup discussion, members of the Circle also went into the streets to engage directly with residents and gather their perspectives on the challenges affecting their communities.

- What is one major challenge affecting people in your community?
Ahmed: “Healthcare is one of the biggest challenges. Some people do not have enough information about basic health practices, and getting healthcare can also be difficult for many families.” - What kind of support do young people in Khartoum need the most?
Mohamed: “Many young people need practical skills and opportunities. Training in digital skills, technology, and entrepreneurship could help more young people become productive.” - What is one healthcare challenge you think needs more attention?
Fatima: “Health awareness. People need more information about preventing common health problems and knowing when and where to seek medical help.” - Which community issue do you think can realistically be improved through collective action?
Abdullah: “I believe health education is something the community can work on. Even simple awareness programs and community health sessions could help people understand how to take better care of themselves.” - If the community could solve one issue in the coming months, what should it focus on?
Maryam: “I would choose healthcare awareness and access. If people have the right information and can access basic health support, it can make a real difference, especially for families who may not have many resources.”
Key Findings
The conversations with residents reinforced the issues discussed during the meetup. While youth development, digital literacy, and employment were identified as important concerns, health awareness and access to basic preventive healthcare stood out as an issue where the Circle could begin with practical community action.
Participants agreed that the focus should not simply be on identifying problems but on finding a specific area where the Logos community can make a measurable difference.

- Encouraging people to seek appropriate medical attention when necessary.
- Connecting residents with available health resources and professionals.
- Partnering with healthcare professionals and relevant organizations.
- Organizing a practical community health awareness or screening activity where feasible.
