This was our second Logos Circle meeting, so these two ideas were discussed simultaneously,
1. Waste management
Key points & insights
The participants noted that the state government is enforcing the ritual month end clean up sanitation this Saturday which has always been an intense measure to keep the city clean in recent years. The community emphasized the importance of keeping streets and public spaces clean, reminiscing on the fact that the state had some time in the past won the award for the cleanest state in Nigeria. Concerns were raised over the lackluster attitude from the government to enforce the ritual month end sanitation exercise, as has been the case in recent months.
The group discussed extensively on Organizing community sanitation exercises. It was agreed that all eyes should be set on what the government’s efforts would produce this weekend and for the group to build from there. Members were tasked with looking out as well.
The need to partner with a Waste management company to create and amplify community awareness, with an agency already identified and Some members tasked with making enquiries in that respect.
2. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND UNEMPLOYMENT
Key points & insights
The Circle noted the rate of unemployment in the city, with a larger demographic being into politics, working for government parastatals, hotel workers, small business owners with no industries in the area.
We discussed hoarding of opportunities and knowledge due to the scarcity mindset. With supposed interns being turned into Personal Assistants rather than being mentored in their choice field. The participants discussed concerns of lackluster attitude when things are free. Members discussed the inclusiveness of the community being open to students, graduates
The participants noted that it’s one thing to have someone come teach the skillset but it’s another thing to have someone come educate them on how to secure a client and scale in their different field.

The Circle noted that with Logos, funds can be raised to help fund the youth empowerment project.
Building an app on the Logos ecosystem to onboard the community and sustainability for the trainees.
The idea of the app is to help people who have been trained in the unemployment scheme to get jobs and to connect them with potential customers and other community members, while also using it as a platform to check mate our trainees with a rating system to keep to a certain standard embodied by the organization & community as part of a greater innovative idea of providing the best standard services to the community.
The idea of an “idea bank” where community members can always drop comments, opinions, and new & innovative ideas in regards to the app and otherwise.
Connect community members to learning opportunities and professional networks.
Partnerships with local firms to provide internships or vocational skills training for the youth empowerment scheme.

Participants identified waste management as a key local challenge and agreed on the need for increased awareness, community engagement, and practical action. The session concluded with a commitment to continue building a sustainable blockchain ecosystem while addressing pressing community issues through collective effort.
