Summary
Logos Circle Port Harcourt 3.0 marked a shift toward a more action-focused community structure. As a winnable issue is expected to be addressed and solved within a three-month period, the Circle reassessed the Buddy Platform initiative and explored a more achievable community intervention for the current cycle.
The Buddy Platform is still being worked on and remains an important community initiative, but it is no longer the primary winnable solution for this phase.
Shift in Focus
The Circle discussed the importance of selecting a winnable issue that can produce a clear and measurable outcome within three months.
During the meetup, a member raised the issue of misplaced and vulnerable children in Port Harcourt, particularly the challenges faced by orphanages due to limited resources and support.
This led to the identification of a new primary winnable issue focused on supporting orphanages and improving their ability to care for children.

Orphanage Support & Child Placement Initiative
Problem
Misplaced and vulnerable children in Port Harcourt may lack access to safe and appropriate care, while some orphanages face resource and visibility challenges that limit their ability to support these children.
Initiative Goal
To strengthen selected orphanages with the resources and partnerships they need to provide proper care, while creating practical channels that help misplaced children and those responsible for them identify and access suitable orphanage support.
What We Discussed
The initiative will focus on:

Creating awareness about orphanages that can provide safe and appropriate care.

Developing channels through which misplaced children can be identified and connected to suitable care facilities.

Initial Action
The Circle will begin with an orphanage connected to one of our members’ families. The next meetup will focus on visiting the orphanage, understanding its needs and capacity, and developing the first practical steps for connecting resources and vulnerable children to the facility.

Buddy Platform Update
The Buddy Platform remains under development and will continue to be explored alongside other community initiatives. However, since the current winnable issue must be addressed within three months, the Circle decided that the Buddy Platform should continue as a longer-term initiative rather than serve as the primary winnable solution for this cycle.
The concepts previously discussed—including the Buddy Circle, trusted contacts, safety check-ins, emergency alerts, and community coordination—remain part of its development.
What We Learned
The meetup reinforced the importance of choosing a winnable issue that is specific, actionable, and achievable within three months.
Members also recognized the importance of building practical partnerships and coordinated community action to create measurable impact within the three-month cycle.
