- Build partnerships that will strengthen implementation.
- Develop a clear execution roadmap.
2. Roadmap Planning (August – November 2026)
Key Points & Insights
One of the major outcomes of the meeting was the development of a four-month implementation roadmap. Rather than attempting to execute multiple initiatives simultaneously, members agreed to sequence activities to ensure quality delivery and sustainable community impact.
The roadmap adopted by the Circle is as follows:
August
- Health & Livelihood Support for 50 Widows in Kaduna
September
- Welcome Back to School Initiative
October
- Pad the Girl Child Initiative (Phase I)
November
- Pad the Girl Child Initiative (Phase II)
This roadmap gives the Circle a structured approach to delivering its Winnable Issues while allowing adequate time for fundraising, volunteer mobilization, partnerships, and post-event evaluation.
Action Items
- Finalize implementation plans for each monthly activity.
- Mobilize volunteers and fundraising efforts.
- Assign coordinators for each initiative.
Winnable Issues Update
August Initiative: Health & Livelihood Support for 50 Widows in Kaduna
The Circle reached significant milestones in planning its first major community intervention.
Strategic Partnerships
To ensure successful implementation, Logos Circle Kaduna secured commitments from several community partners.
- Venue Partner
A local religious organization has generously agreed to provide its premises free of charge, serving as both the meeting venue and execution site for the outreach.
- Healthcare Partners
The Circle confirmed the participation of:
- Two Medical Doctors from Logos Circle Kaduna.
- Two Optometrists provided through Eagle Eye Clinic, Kaduna.
- Volunteer Medical Laboratory Scientists from the local community.
- Volunteer Pharmacists who will support medication dispensing and counselling.
These professionals will collectively provide quality healthcare services throughout the outreach.
- Community Partners
The Mirror Hub will facilitate sessions introducing participants to:
- Financial inclusion
- Opportunities within the digital economy
- Civic participation and the activist movement
These sessions are intended to empower beneficiaries beyond healthcare by exposing them to tools and opportunities that promote long-term economic resilience and community engagement.
- Volunteer Support
Volunteers from the DJFL Foundation will serve as ad-hoc staff during the outreach, supporting registration, beneficiary coordination, logistics, crowd management, and overall event operations.
Planned Community Impact
The outreach aims to directly serve at least 50 widows through comprehensive healthcare services, including:
- General medical consultations
- Blood pressure screening
- Blood glucose testing
- Hepatitis B screening
- Hepatitis C screening
- Malaria testing
- Health education and counselling
- Provision of medications for common illnesses
- Hepatitis B vaccination for eligible beneficiaries
- Referral for additional medical care where necessary
Recognizing that improved health alone is not sufficient for long-term resilience, the Circle also committed to supporting three widows operating micro-businesses with small business grants to help strengthen and expand their livelihoods.
This integrated approach reflects the Circle’s commitment to addressing both immediate healthcare needs and sustainable economic empowerment.
