Key updates from the January Circle Stewards alignment call on 15th January.
Event Visibility & Tracking
A key operational reminder was shared regarding event setup and visibility. All Circle events must:
- Include Logos as a collaborator (team@acid.info), and
- Be correctly configured on the Logos managing calendar via the Manage Event → Visibility and Discoverability settings.
This is critical to ensure events:
- Appear on the Logos public events calendar
- Are visible to the social media team for promotion
- Are tracked internally as having taken place
Communications Update
A new Signal group has been created to streamline communication between the Logos Circles team and Circle Stewards. Major updates will now be shared there instead of relying on Discord tags, which haven’t been effective for keeping in touch with Stewards.
Engagement Ladder Rollout
The group discussed the rollout of the Circles Engagement Ladder, based on the Snowflake model. Stewards who have already interacted with or tested the model shared feedback around usability, clarity of roles, and any challenges encountered.
The Engagement Ladder outlines progressive roles within Circles, from initial participation through deeper responsibility and stewardship, designed to support sustainable community growth.
Read more about Circle roles here, and provide feedback on the roles rollouts so far. Please leavee any questions, feedback, or learnings in that thread.
Translations: Farewell to Westphalia
Mariana shared an update on her work translating Farewell to Westphalia into standardised Spanish. Stewards interested in contributing to the translation effort were invited to collaborate via the shared working document available here.
Winnable Issue Updates
Several Circles shared updates and challenges around their current winnable issues:
- Barcelona
There is interest in exploring a digital ID–related issue, similar to work emerging in London. However, the group is struggling to define a concrete, actionable issue. A suggestion was made to identify an existing petition—or create a new one—as a low-barrier way to build early momentum and public engagement. - Rome
The Rome Circle includes technical builders. A proposal was discussed for Logos to help identify local privacy-focused project founders in Rome and use Circle sessions as hands-on working spaces to prototype or “hack out” early ideas together.
New Spanish Online Circle
Francisco and M announced they will be launching a Spanish-language online Circle starting next Wednesday. The Circle aims to bring together members of the Venezuelan diaspora working in Web3, with a focus on identifying and collaborating on a remote winnable issue that supports Venezuelans at home.
